Covid Protocols Being Monitored
Q. How much notice do you need to get my pool ready?
A. We can be on-site the same week, or in some cases the same day to assess the condition of your pool and give you an estimate on how long it will take before it’s ready to use. It will always be as quickly as possible.
Q. How long does it take to balance the chemicals?
A. Once the initial balance is done, maintaining the chemical balance is fairly simple and would be part of a weekly program.
Q. Can Barbacoa supply all my chemicals as well?
A. Yes, part of our maintenance program is the delivery of all chemicals you’ll need. You don’t need to order, we’ll ensure that enough supplies are always on hand to maintain you pool.
Q. How do I know if I have a leak?
A. There are many indications that you may have a leak in your pool. If the water levels or chemical balance is becoming difficult to maintain, or you notice cracks or excessive moisture in adjacent lawn areas, you may have a leak. At this point, it’s best to schedule a visit by our leak detection specialists.
Q. How often do I need to have the filter replaced?
A. This will depend on what type of system you have and how much use your pool gets. Replacement times can be determined through our regular maintenance programs.
Don’t allow the pH level to get above 7.8 or below 7.2
At 8.5, chlorine is only about 10% active. At 7.0, chlorine is about 73% active. If you maintain pH around 7.5, the chlorine will be 50-60% active. Keeping the pH in check will allow you to use the full potential of the chlorine that is already in the pool.
High pH levels can cause cloudy water and scale to form on pool surfaces & pipes and heater cores & elements. Low pH levels are corrosive and can damage the pool surface and any metals found in the pool equipment and light niches.
